Healing the Hurt; A Poem

Your heart is aching
And so is mine
Despite our intertwined love
We have caused hurt to be done

But it is true that time will heal all wounds
And communicating our wants and needs will too
I know that our love will help us move beyond our shared pain
Because, as they say, this shall pass too

And with its passing we will learn
And we will grow
And we will become better people
And better partners
